Happy Thanksgiving!

With all the hutle and bustle of Presleigh birthday it worked out perfect that the 4 of us all got to stay home and spend turkey day together! Usually doing anything but staying home is a lot of hard work. The girls are just so busy and want to be able to play, watch their show and eat the foods they like. So thanksgiving at home was just fine for them! We all hung out in the morning like we always do, Scott and I drank our coffee while the girls played and watched TV. Both Scott and I got work outs in! It felt good knowing we had a least worked off some calories before we ate turkey and pumpkin pie. I started the turkey at about 10:30. Then Presleigh and I got some of our holiday decorations out. Presleigh is really into it this year and when she wants to can actually be a really big help! I enjoy doing this stuff with her, hopefully we are putting family traditions in to motion, ones that will last all of their childhoods :) After naps we had our turkey dinner.. Charleigh liked my turkey but P wouldnt even try it. Charleigh was saying "gobble gobble" all day long, at least thats what it sounded like! After dinner I jumped on getting our big christmas tree put up. I know Scott would of rather sat aruonf and watched football, but he was a big help and I think the girls enjoyed having him around to do some holiday stuff. This is the 5th year we have been together for thanksgiving (Scott and I).. and its a thanksgiving night tradition to put up the tree and drink some eggnog. Our first thanksgiving together we deced the tree for hours, and then we had to make a late run to the store for some eggnog! Heres to many more thanksgiving's spent with my family putting up our christmas tree!!! :)

Presleigh is Three!

Saturday was Presleighs 3rd birthday. I cannot believe my big girl is already 3... I can remember like it was yesterday her being born, taking her first steps, and sleeping with us every night. She has grown so much year to year. I love every single part of who she is. Her good parts and her bad parts, to me they aren't so bad.

She was so excited about her party. It really was a special day for her. We had a full house! Grandma Teresa, Grandpa John, Barb and grandma Toni all came down from Enumclaw to be there for her special day. Her aunt Shannon, aunt Myra, aunt Shirley and Pete also were at the party. We cannot forget about her sweet friends Bria and B and W who came to play and celebrate with her. Presleighs cake was the talk of the party! It was amazing. She was in awe of it. All day and night before we cut into it she was talking about the cake and begging to eat it. It was almost too beautiful to eat...thank goodness for the two dozen cupcakes in addition to the cake we had. Presleigh isn't very good at opening presents... Maybe the problem is that she gets too many! After she opened 5 or 6 she was done.. All she really wanted to do was bust into her new toys and play.  She didn't care that she had more presents to open, all she wanted to do was play. I love that about her, she isn't greedy or wasn't begging for more. She was so happy for what she had got and it was written all over her face. The presents she was most excited about were the shopping cart, her bike (on her wish list) and the face a face ( with stickers). After presents it was time for cake and she could hard,y contain herself.  We were all ready to sing, Scott lit the candles and poof! P blew them out right away before we got a chance to get one word of happy birthday out. It was hilarious...everyone was cracking up laughing! It's a moment I will never forget. Her face was priceless too.. She want sure what she did that was so funny! After cake most people went home but our good friends stuck around for awhile. Presleigh and Bria played with all her new toys. It was really quite an early night... She was in bed by 7:45!
Overall she had a great birthday and I felt so much love from everyone at the party. It felt like such a joyous occasion, and it always should be. She has brought me joy every day of her life.

Here are some fun facts about Presleigh at age 3!

Favorite movie: currently Rock a doodle.
Favorite Show: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
Favorite Snack: goldfish, apples, chips.
Favorite Book: The Animal Book.
Favorite Toys: Doctor Kit, Kitchen stuff.

She loves to paint, and color. She loves books and being read too. Hide and seek is a new favorite game to play. She is always asking her dad and I "who got that for you mom?" when she wants something at the store and I say no her response is "but mom I don't care if I can have some M&M's " clearly she is using this out of context lol.

Girl Time!

We are really missing Scott and eager for him to get home tonight but I have had a fun time with my girls. We have got to be on our own schedule and do things when we want. Last night we went over to our friends for dinner and a play date. It was a nice way to pass the evening. Presleigh has got to have lots of attention from mommy. She even got to sleep with me the first night. Last night her leg was hurting...she must of had growing pains. I got up with her and rubbed her leg and watched her drift back to sleep. It was a really sweet moment that I was happy I got to experience.A lot of time she only wants daddy at night so it's nice that I get to have mommy time with her too. Charleigh has also got to have quite a bit of fun with her Daddy gone. She has been off schedule a little bit, she has been staying up later and has had the run of the house. She has been all over the place! When I'm by myself it's hard to keep up!

Today P had preschool and so Charleigh and I came home and did some stuff for the party. Lately I have been getting some one on one time with Charleigh. Since she doesn't sleep as long as Presleigh in the afternoon the two of us get to hang out. I might feed her a snack, let her play while I catch up on chores or we just hang out! She is such a lover bug! I feels so good growing closer to her each day and learning more about her sweet lovable personality!

One tree up!

With Scott gone over the weekend the girls and I were on the lookout for a project. With Christmas soon and Presleighs party next weekend I thought it would be great to get 1 tree up . Presleigh was so funny, I kept telling her we were going to buy a tree and to get some decorations. As we were driving to target I realized she thought I was saying we were going to get a TREAT! I quickly had to explain we were getting a Christmas TREE to decorate. So that wasn't as good as a treat but I was surprised by her enthusiasm with the tree. She was super good at the store and helped mommy pick the decorations. We went with bright colors, I thought that would go perfect for her party as well. We got home and got the tree up pretty easily, minus Chuck escaping to climb up the stairs every other minute. She is on the move now. I am pretty close to calling her an official walker... Most times she crawls its just to get to something so she can stand up to walk around. Anyways Presleigh was so excited with the lights, we wrapped 4 sets on the tree. She was most excited about the blue lights. Then when it came time to do the decorations she kept picking the blue ornaments to hang. She was very sweet and wanted me to do it for her because she said she is too little. :) we finished most of the tree Saturday but put the finishing touches on it Sunday. Presleigh was so wrapped up in the decorations, it's all she wanted to do. Anytime I would tell her it was time to do something she just wanted to do the tree! Lucky for her we will be doing an even bigger tree next week!

Sunday night we started on the sugar cookies for her birthday party. We made P's and Crowns. We will frost them later this week.

Feels like winter...

Although there are leaves on the ground it is starting to feel a lot like winter outside. It has been clear but chilly. Down to 43 degrees! Brrr... But that means that birthdays and my favorite holidays are just around the corner. Presleigh has been so funny lately talking about going to see Mickey Mouse. She says she wants to see him first when we get to Disneyland and then she can go see Rapunzel. I don't think she will know what to do with herself when we get there! I can hardly wait! P has also been talking non stop about her birthday party, which is only one week away! She keeps asking if things are for her party, and asks about decorations. She is way too smart! Charleigh has finally been sleeping better at night but not napping any better. I think it's time to sleep train her during the day. It might be tough on Presleigh but poor Chuck needs more sleep. I think Presleigh is going through a growth spurt, the past 3 days I have had to wake up up after nearly 2 hours of sleeping because it was 4:00! The time change has been hard on all of us. Charleigh is starting to walk better everyday. If she takes it slow and stops from time to time she can cover quite a bit of ground. Of course Presleigh is always walking in her way which makes it a little harder to focus for Charleigh. Overall Presleigh has started to treat Charleigh a lot nicer. She hasn't been hitting or pulling her hair. Instead she wants to play with her, she even wants to go upstairs with me every morning to get Charleigh out of bed! You should see Charleighs face, it lights up the minute she sees her sister! Its like she could care less if moms there... Sister is way more cool :) It has sounded like Charleigh has said some words lately. She is always saying Dada, dad, and she does say Mom too. But there have been a few times when I give her something and it sounds like the says thank you! When I gave her the cup yesterday I could of sworn she said Juice! It wouldnt surprise me one bit if she started talking a bit, with all the words she hears from Presleigh and I. My babies are so smart! They amaze me everyday! We have lots to do the next week to keep up busy! I'm going to need lots of help from my girls to get this place party ready :)

Our trip to the ice rink.

Since Disney on ice last weekend I had ice skating on my brain. I have been a few times in my life and really enjoyed going, it's something I would like to do more of. Scott grew up playing hockey so he is the perfect person to teach P how to ice skate. We decided to take her to the free skate at the Sherwood ice rink. We all got bundled up in warm clothes, even thought it was 70 degrees out! The little skates Presleigh got to wear we're so cute! It was making me smile just watching her get them on. Scott had her walk around for awhile and it was obvious that was to easy. She walked around in the skates no problem. Scott took her out on the ice first, he held on to her hand as she wobbled around. She did such a good job. She want quite ready to do it on her own and she was pretty scary while we held on to her too but I think that was to be expected the first time out. I can't wait to take her again. She told us all night that she had fun skating. Maybe we have a future figure skater on our hands? Or speed skater?

When We got home from the ice rink we played outside since it was gorgeous out. We did our usual run through, first the trampoline, then we skip rocks, walk around for a bit and last but not least we took the girls for a little wagon ride :)

Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween! All of us had such a blast with all of the halloween festivities this week. Presleigh had a school party on tuesday where they got to dress up in their costumes and play games! She loved playing pin the tail on the donkey..I might have to bust that out for her birthday party! Its all she could talk about, she wanted to go again and again! Wednesday night Scott got home with dinner and then we loaded up the girls to go trick or treating! Costumes on and pumpkin buckets in tow they were ready to get some candy. We went over to the Holcombs neighborhood to do our trick or treating. They had the perfect neighborhood for it too. Lots of houses that werent too spread a part. At first P was a little scared to go to the door. She thought we were going to a house to have a party, she was wondering where all the decorations were! When she got the hang of it and realized people were giving out candy she was ready to roll! She was getting so excited she would take of running with random people. Poor Scott and I were about ready to have a heart attack! She did get a little better as the night went on. Every time she would leave a house she would say "but my bags not full", "its not full yet"! Apparantly she really wanted that bucket full of candy! Charleigh went up to a couple doors with me. She did so well all night, she hardly made a peep! Such a sweet little strawberry she was :) When we got back to the Holcombs all the kids dumped out their candy to examine there loads. Charleigh even got to have some of a tootsie pop! Boy was she in heaven, she could not get enough of it!!! The girl had a huge smile on her face too! Both girls had more sugar than I liked but I understand thats what Halloween is all about. I love seeing them all dressed up, both girls looked perfect! Presleigh was the best pirate I had ever seen. Take a look :)

Charleigh is 10 months!

My Charleigh girl turned 10 months old the other day! She has changed so much and keeps changing everyday! She has taken up to 12 steps so far, she walks farther and farther everyday. Now she can go from the coffee table to the couch no problem.. Im assuming she will be everywhere within the next couple weeks. Lately she hasnt been sleeping as good, Im chalking it up to all the moving and groovin' she is learning how to do. They say when babies start reaching milestones the can regress in the sleep department. But im not complaining too much, she is still doing great sleeping in her crib in her own room! Here are some fun facts about Miss. Charleigh Grace at 10 months....

*Avocados are now her favorite food..She will eat a whole one to herself (in one sitting!)

*Lollipops are probably up there pretty high on her list too.... Sister was generous enough to give her her very first taste :)

* She says Dada, even daddy at time but the cutest is Uh Uh Oh..Uh Uh Ohh.

* Her Top teeth are in! So now she is sportin four pearly whites!

* Her favorite thing to do is get into all of mamas beauty products that are kept under my sink...Startin' her young!

* Anyone who knows her knows the Charleigh face...She is always scrunching her face up while sticking those cute lips out!
