Thank goodness it Friday! Boy have we had a extra busy week! It seems like life has been going about 100 mph these past few weeks and with birthdays and holidays right around the corner I know it isn't going to let up anytime soon.
Wednesday we went over to the Buells house to make pine one bird feeders! The moms did most of the craft but Presleigh was so proud when she got to show her dad where we hung it for the birds to eat! Presleigh has been having a hard time lately when we go to play. It seems like she really doesn't want to share and is getting frustrated so easily! I know that I can be the same way at times so I have been trying extra hard to be there for her and remain calm when she starts in on one of her tantrums. I see so much of myself in Presleigh. She is intense and fierce, full of passion for so many things in life. She wears her heart on her sleeve and isn't afraid to show emotion. I hope as her mom I can help teach her to embrace who she is and be proud of those traits. I feel like sometimes we try to suppress who our child is when they show too much emotion or intensity. P has been intense since day 1 and I love her for that.
Thursday after preschool I took Presleigh out to lunch for some McDonald's. This was a pretty big deal because we got to go eat our lunch inside! Every time I even mention McDonald's Presleigh is saying to me" mom I don't want to go to the drive thru- I want to go inside". Most days we do just go thru the drive up but I thought since today was special we could go inside. P was really great at lunch. Her friend Bria was there and I was quite impressed with Presleighs manners. She was sharing her food, asking for help in a nice way. It was really pleasant. Charleigh has even started eating on some French fries.. We are starting her early :)
This morning we had our little group of friends over for another craft. The kids did ghost footprints and pumpkin handprints! So cute! I am fully taking advantage of our craft room from here on out. After paint the kids played in Presleighs room. Presleigh is so funny, she kept asking everyone if they wanted some tea.. " tea or milk" she would ask! I was proud of Presleigh, all the kids wanted to dress up in her clothes and she didn't mind one bit. She totally let her friends dress up with her stuff. Maybe she is getting better about sharing!
After the kids left I got the girls down for a nap. When 1:00 rolls around and both are still up I know I am in trouble. I am so thankful that Charleigh is feeling better now. For over a week she was really cranky and not in a good mood. Finally I have my sweet, happy go lucky Charleigh back! She is such a good baby, she loves to be held but is really starting to love being on the move. She just might be walking soon :) Lord help me!
Thats it for now. I am really lookinf forward to a low key weekend with my girls and hubby!
My blog is about my little family and most importantly my two darling daughters Presleigh and Charleigh.

Pizza and a Play date
Tuesday night the girls and I had so much fun with our sweet friends that came over to play. My other girlfriends husband was also out of town so we decided to get together for dinner. The plan was to have pizza for dinner and then settle down to watch a movie. We got half of it right... All the kids were pretty wound up when they got to the house, so dinner time was pretty quick. It wasn't long before they wanted to go outside to play. Barefoot and all the 4 big kids ran outside to jump on the trampoline!! Even the mamas were jumping! It was the perfect photo op. I ran and grabbed my tripod so we could all be in the picture together. After all the jumping the kids actually sat still long enough for us to get a few group shots of them. I honestly am amazed we got such great pics of them, those pictures are something us mamas will treasure forever!
It was kind of a late night after all of our friends took off so the girls and I got straight to bedtime business. When Scott is out of town it is a little harder trying to get the two girls ready for bed. I figured out its easiest to putnCharleigh down to bed first. Then Presleigh and I can have some special time just her and I before she goes to sleep. I let her pick out 3 short books to read. Then we sang our nightly songs. 1. Mommys song 2. Twinkle twinkle 3. The itsy bitty spider 4. Rock a by baby 5. The ABC's. Every now and then I'll throw in a couple extra too.. Like baby ballots and teddy bear teddy bear. While we sing Presleigh now insists I walk my fingers up her arms and legs, if I forget to do it she always says "mom I want you to do that" and shows me how. When she is finally in bed she will get all sorts of kisses and loves. We do butterfly kisses, Eskimo kisses, goldfish kisses, and two that I made up are giraffe kisses where we nuzzle necks and hippopotomus kisses where we rub chins. She just thinks that is hilarious!! She asks every night mom, why do hippopotomus' do that?" I tell her because they have such big chins!!!! I love our night time routine, tucking my girl in bed is one of my favorite things to do :)

Finding Nemo..in 3D!
Last night I took the girls to see Finding Nemo in 3D! We were all feeling a little sad and bored without Scott around, so I thought it was the perfect time for a little outing. Presleigh just loves going to the movie theater! She loves driving past it too.. She is always shouting "there it is! There is the movie Theater!" The re-release of Nemo has been out for a few weeks and P had been asking every single day when the movie was going to be out. So, I packed up both the girls and we headed to movies on tv :) Presleigh gets the same treats every time she goes to see a movie. She gets a sprite to drink, popcorn and licorice! This is the one time I let her really go all out...Its hard to decide what she likes more about the movies, the show or the food :) Charleigh did pretty good even though she is teething :( She did sleep on me for about 40 minutes. The other half of the movie she chewed on a straw, ate some ritz crackers and bounced on my lap. I love taking my girls to do fun stuff, taking them to see Nemo is something I will always remember!
Who says 3D glasses arent stylish?
The movie wasnt the only fun we had yesterday. Before we left we had a mini photo shoot in the front yard. I have decided to put my tripod and self timer to good use. Why shouldnt I be in the pictures too? They arent perfect but at least all three of us can get a quick picture together. Here they are...

A fun filled weekend!
This weekend was so much fun! It's safe to say that our little family had a great time with each other and our wonderful friends. Saturday was one of our close friends' daughters (Reese) first birthday party! Presleigh loves going to Bria's house...thats where most our get together happen. Charleigh was partying pretty hard too...She was going strong 2 hours past her bedtime! That night was a night I will always remember because Charleigh finally figured out how to crawl on her hands and knees!! No more army crawling for Chuck :) Presleigh is too smart for her own good nowadays, whenever she goes to Bria's she gets out a dvd and brings it to us.. She also figured out how to turn on their tv. She has no problem making herself right at home! Anyways, I had such a great time laughing and visiting with my two friends while the kids played, oh and the Dads too!
Here are all the kids at the Party!
Saturday was great but I cant forget about the day we had today. Sunday's are our day as a family to hang out and be lazy bums. That is exactly what we did and it was Perfect! We all hung out in our pajamas, watched football, golf, and some little bear (Presleighs favorite). I even cooked us some yummy french toast.. I love mornings when there is nothing on the agenda and I can cook for my hubby and kids! Unfortunately Scott had to head out of town to Hayden Lake for a golf tournament. It felt good to all spend some quality time together before he left. Cant wait for the minute he will return!
Field Trip to The Apple Orchard!
Thursday Presleigh's Preschool class got to take a field trip to the apple orchard. I was scheduled to be the helper in her classroom that day, so I got to tag along while the class went for their first ever field trip! Charleigh sister got to spend some quality time with her daddy at the dealership and I was so excited to spend some time with my big girl P!!! The kids got to school and played for almost a whole hour before we all piled in our cars and headed over to Peterson's Apple Orchard. It was interesting watching Presleigh play with all the kids in her class. She was telling everyone what to do and how to do it!! I think she is a little mature for her age, she thinks she knows it all! We played together and rocked the babies to sleep. She even grabbed a baby from another girl saying "this is mommy's baby"!! I had to laugh at all of it, that is why she is at Preschool! To learn how to socialize and interact with the other kids, I know she will get better :)
I had a great time wit her class and feel so lucky that I got to be there with her while she experienced her first ever field trip. Being a stay home mom ensures I don't miss a moment( well the really important awesome moments) and I wouldn't change a thing!

Watch out..Here Comes Chuck!
Last week there was a lot of attention on Presleigh as she started her first week of Preschool but all the while little Sister Charleigh was reaching milestones of her own.
Charleigh is on the move in a big way! Sure, she is still army crawling like a crazy woman but she has mastered how to get up to a standing position! I just cant believe how quick she is figuring things out. We just might have another early walker on our hands. At only 8 1/2 months I'd say she is getting around pretty darn good!

Preschool Is Here!
Tuesday was Presleighs very first day of Preschool! She will be going tuesdays and thursdays from 9-11:30. At first I thought... Awesome! I will get a little time to myself, or to spend with Charleigh. I soon realized that this was a huge step, one that I possibly wasnt ready for but Presleighs excitement and joy for her new adventure has reassured me it was the right thing to do.
Can You tell this girl is Ready to Rock??
The girl who changed my life is off to change the Preschool world as we know it :)
Mrs. Quade showing P to her cubby!
When I went to tell P goodbye, she hardly replied! I wasnt even on her radar!! Clearly she had better things to do.
